Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) announced that in order to promote research in the field of AI in the school, the National University of Incheon (President Park Jong-tae) invited outstanding professors in the field of AI and held an award ceremony on Mar. 4 as Professor Kang Woo-chul of the Department of Embedded-Systems Engineering at the University of Information Technology was selected as the winner. Professor Kang Woo-chul was awarded to Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), the world's most prestigious AI association, in recognition of his contributions to publishing papers for 2021 and 2024.

In addition to the AI field award, Incheon National University has established an AI Big Data Center under the Information Technology Institute in June 2023 to take the lead in preparing for the AI and big data industries. Through the establishment of the AI Big Data Center, we can expect to improve the quality of research, reduce the time and cost required for research and development, and cultivate AI talents. In addition, the Education Innovation Institute said in April 2024, UNIAI (Uniai), a customized AI education support system for students, has been established to provide the function to search and recommend subjects, search and recommend majors, search and recommend comparison programs, and design and manage the curriculum of the student design convergence major.
