Incheon National University announced that it has been reselected for the 2025 University Digital Trade Specialized Course Support Program, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and operated by the Korean Standards Association, following its selections in both 2023 and 2024. The program aims to strengthen the capacity of domestic companies to adapt to digital trade by selecting five universities or graduate schools nationwide to open specialized courses and foster talent in this field.

Over the past two years, INU has newly opened a total of two digital trade courses, released 4–5 outstanding student presentation videos online annually, participated in the publication of professional textbooks, and supported the creation of student study groups—achieving remarkable outcomes each year.

With this new selection, INU plans to further enhance digital trade education within its Department of International Trade. Beginning in the first semester of 2024, the department has launched Digital Trade Theory, and will offer Digital Trade Norms starting in the second semester of 2025. These courses integrate the development of digital technology and the growth of digital trade with university-level academic activities, allowing students to gain in-depth knowledge and case studies related to technology, trade, digital trade systems, and technical cooperation. The goal is to cultivate interdisciplinary trade professionals who can systematically understand and apply knowledge across tech enterprises, international markets, domestic and global institutions, and industry-government-academia cooperation.

Professor Bomin Ko of the Department of International Trade, who serves as the PM (Project Manager) of this initiative, stated that the department will continue to offer digital trade and commerce-related major courses year-round. She also announced that she will keep mentoring student members of “DIPO (short for Digitech Trade Analysis Club)”, an academic student group within the department that was launched in 2023 as part of this initiative.
